let it fall

"God, if that word was not from you, let it fall."
The burden drops; the word remains.

Do not put something on you that doesn't fit: "So Saul clothed David with his armor.... and David said to Saul, 'I cannot walk with these.'" David was destined to be King - the prophets had revealed it to him, God had promised it to him, and soon he would wear the King's armor. But not yet: "So David took them off."

Do not put something on you that doesn't fit. Don't force it if it's not ready. Do not strive for it before it comes to be. Still hold onto your destiny, what has been spoken to you by the prophets, but stop trying to make it happen right now.

Do not put something on you that doesn't fit. A "head taller than any of the others", that suit of armor was made for Saul alone. It was made to fit him. God is creating a suit designed to fit you perfectly, so why do you desire to wear someone else's?

Do not put something on you that doesn't fit. Don't put on Saul's armor for the glory and fame, or because he thinks you need to wear it now. God will show you what to wear when you're facing Goliath and what to wear when you're fighting all of Ammon. Holy Spirit will take you where you need to be... in HIS timing.
Wait. Wait. WAIT. The greatest warfare is to wait.
